A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: 'I am blind, please help.' There were only a few coins in the hat.
A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, 'Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?'
The man said, 'I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way.'
What he had written was: 'Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.'

Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?

Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?
Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

Invite others towards good with wisdom. Live life with no excuse and love with no regrets. When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.

背你上楼的男人和一杯鲜奶

很感人的故事.

1) 背你上楼的男人

她是城市的白领,他是城市的扛包工人.高中毕业后,两个人划着完全不同的青春轨迹.可是,

他们依然保持着恋人的关系.仅仅是保持着.

白天,她在公司里喝正宗的雀巢咖啡,下班后,她吃他买来的廉价的冰棍;中午,她品味着公司里精致的饭菜,晚上,

他带她去脏兮兮的饭馆吃并不正宗的兰州拉面.她认为,自己的生活太不协调.这样的恋情,从开始的那一天,
便仿佛注定了某一种结局.

他每天去接她,然后送到她所居住的白领公寓的电梯口,
道一声晚安,匆匆离去.那天她突然想撒娇,她说背我上去吧!他看了看电梯,电梯运转良好,

然后他回头,说,好.他没问理由.他背着她,从一楼开始,慢慢向上爬.爬到一半他累了,他说休息一下好不好,她突然来了兴致,

娇嗔着说不行.他就真的没有休息,一直爬到她的寓所所在的13楼.
她问他累不累,他说累,比扛包累.她知道他说的是真的,
她有了一丝感动.
但他们还是分手了.因为有时候,仅有感动,并不能够将爱情维持 .爱情的本身,除了感动,好象还有太多的琐碎.城市里并不缺少一个扛包工人,所以他回到乡下.

他偶尔会给她打电话,告诉她他现在种着大棚,挣了一些钱.她听着,淡淡的.
那时她已经有了新的男友,门当户对的,可以充门面,协调生活的那种.

然后某一天,他有一次打来电话,说他攒够了五千元钱,这些钱可以在乡下娶老婆了.她发现,突然间,自己的眼角,竟然有些湿润.
她新交的男友也是每天接她下班,送她至电梯,很绅士地道一声晚安,然后离去某一天她说,背我上去吧.男友说,行.

那时电梯停在一楼,男友背起她,飞快地冲进电梯.她伏在男友的背上,与电梯一起爬升,心却在飞快地下沉.
男友嘿嘿笑着,好象对自己这个带着幽默的小伎俩很是满意.那一天,她没有接受男友照例的吻别.

她给他打电话,她问他那五千块钱花出去了吗?然后她便发现自己泪流满面.他说花出去了。
她扔掉了电话,那一刻,
她觉得自己正在失去整个世界.

几天后她在电梯门口看到他,他的手里拿着一枚戒指,很高档.
他把戒指扬了扬,说, 五千块.她乐了.
然后她开始哭泣,哭得一塌糊涂.
她说背我上去?他说好.然后他背着她,一步步爬着楼梯.途中他累了,他说这次让不让休息,她说不行不行.
他就沉默着,一直爬到了13层.这时她想,如果一个男人,肯背着一个女人爬最漫长的楼梯,甚至可以不问理由,
那么,这个女人,还有什么理由拒绝他呢?她给了他一个长久热烈的吻.

2) 一杯鲜奶

一个穷苦学生郝武德.凯礼,为了付学费,挨家挨户地推销货品。到了晚上,发现自己的肚子很饿,而口袋里只剩下一个小钱。
然而当一位年轻貌美的女孩子打开门时,他却失去了勇气。他没敢讨饭,却只要求一杯水喝。女孩看出来他饥饿的样子,
于是给他端出一大杯鲜奶来。他不慌不忙地将它喝下。而且问说,『应付多少钱?』
而她的答复却是:「你不欠我一分钱。母亲告诉我们,不要为善事要求回报。」
于是他说:「那么我只有由衷地谢谢了」当郝武德.凯礼离开时,不但觉得自己的身体强壮了不少,而且对天主与对人的信心也增强了起来。
他原来已经陷入绝境,准备放弃一切的。
数年后,那个年轻女孩病情危急。当地医生都已束手无策。家人终于将她送进大都市,以便请专家来检查她罕见的病情。
他们请到了郝武德?凯礼医生来诊断。当他听说,病人是某某城的人时,他的眼中充满了奇特的光辉。他立刻穿上医生服装,
走向医院大厅,进了她的病房。医生一眼就认出了她。他立刻回到诊断室,并且下定决心要尽最大的努力来挽救她的性命。
从那天起,他特别观察她的病情。经过一次漫长的奋斗之后,终于让她起死回生,战胜了病魔。
最后批价室将出院的帐单送到医生手中,请他签字。医生看了帐单一眼,然后在帐单边缘上写了几个字,就将帐单转送到她的病房里。
她不敢打开帐单,因为她确定,需要她一辈子才能还清这笔医药费。但最后她还是打开看了,而且帐单边缘上的一些东西,特别引起她的注目。
她看到了这么一句话:「一杯鲜奶已足以付清全部的医药费!」签署人:郝武德.凯礼医生。
眼中泛滥着泪水,她心中高兴地祈祷着:「天主啊!感谢您,感谢您的慈爱,藉由众人的心和手,不断地在传播着。」

天底下只有三件事

一件是"自己的事":
诸如: 上不上班, 吃什么东西, 开不开心, 结不结婚, 要不要帮助人...
自己能安排的皆属之.

一件是"別人的事":
诸如: 小张好吃懒做, 小陈婚姻不幸福, 老陈对我很不滿意, 我帮助別人, 別人卻不感激...
別人在主導的事情皆属之.

一件是"老天爷的事":
诸如: 会不会颳风, 地震, 战争, 开悟, 成道...
人能力範围以外的事情, 都属于老天爷的管辖範围.

人的烦惱就是來自于:
忘了 自己的事,
爱管 別人的事,
担心 老天爷的事.

所以要轻松自在很简单:
打理好"自己的事",
不去管"別人的事",
不操心"老天爷的事.

这只是靜心在"哲学"上的诠釋,
知道并不代表你能辦到.

除非你能进入"静心状态去"观照,
你就"如实"發现天底下真的只有这三件事:
"自己的事", "別人的事", "老天爷的事".

下次心情不好时, 赶快问自己,
那件事到底是"谁"的事!

See a need, fill a need

The phrase, "See a need, fill a need" was popularized in the 2005 animated film, Robots. In this film, Rodney aspires to become an inventor. With his father's encouragement, he travels to Robot City in hopes of showing one of his inventions to Bigweld, CEO of Bigweld Industries. Bigweld's enthusiasm for new ideas and positive attitude is evident throughout the film.

Do you think 4D is predictable

First of all, I am not encouraging you to buy 4D. And I will not going to use the information based on my analysis to buy 4D as well, swear to god (crossing fingers).

As the curiosity hit me, a question came to my mind long long time ago - Will the 4D predictable? In order to reveal the truth behind, I need to dig deeply into the 4D history from past until present.

I Need Info

First, I went to a 4D website (http://www.4d2u.com) to retrieve information that I need, such as date, draw id, draw number, and also last but not least, 4D numbers. Writing a script to do this task is pretty easy and efficient. And the script itself will also update the database automatically whenever encounter the latest information posted in that website. By the way, that website also displayed a pool result of people votes for "Do you think 4D is predictable?". The result stated that 58.3% people agree, 29.5% people say may be, and 12.2% people refuse it totally. Hmm. Interesting. Majority of people are said 4D is predictable. Is it really truth? Let's move on the analysis.

My Favorite Number - 4896

Within numbers from 0000 to 9999, I picked my favorite number - 4896, as a experimental number for the rest of the analysis. The full information of number 4896 listed inside table below:

R-Squared Value

From the graph above, you might already noticed that R2 = 0.9835. What is R-squared actually? Well, R-Squared is a statistical term saying how good one term is at predicting another. If R-Squared is 1.0 then given the value of one term, you can perfectly predict the value of another term. If R-Squared is 0.0, then knowing one term doesn't not help you know the other term at all. More generally, a higher value of R-Squared means that you can better predict one term from another.

R-Squared is most often used in linear regression. Given a set of data points, linear regression gives a formula for the line most closely matching those points. It also gives an R-Squared value to say how well the resulting line matches the original data points.

0.9835 is quite a high R-squared value. It means that the probability of success in next prediction is 98.35%. By using the linear equation above, we can calculate the next drawid for number 4896:

next_drawid = 287.16 * next_number - 330.56
next_drawid = 287.16 * 15 - 330.56
next_drawid = 3976.84
next_drawid = 3976 or 3977

When will be the drawid is 3976 or 3977 ? Bear in mind! Wait for that day coming because the chance you will win is 98%!!!

Conclusion

As a conclusion, I can't say that 4D is predictable just because based on one analysis on one number. I still have 9999 different numbers to go. It's up to you to believe it or not, and it is depends on your luck as well. Good Luck!

記得以前有位同事離職前多拉了幾個人走,以為會對公司的業務造成影響,經我觀察的結果做了結論:完全沒有影響,缺人找人,頂多資深員工辛苦點,對公司來說,「所有員工在職時都很重要,離職後都不重要」,沒有一個員工是非留不可的,這似乎就是職場常態近20年以來,我長時間在美台兩地以理財專家的立埸談理財,幫助客戶及社會大眾做好理財。

我常強調做好理財的目的是錢盡其用,讓錢發揮最大的效用,一個相關的重要原則就是凡事講究划算。

我覺得以這樣的現實觀點來看工作,和我倡議的『回到蠻荒』觀點倒是有相通的地方,那就是不做徒勞無功的事,或沒有成果的事。

蠻荒的動物都能秉持這樣的原則工作。所以依現實的原則看工作,現代人工作的目的應該只是為了能賺錢,除此以外無他。

以下是探討這類觀點的專家所提供的一些工作原則,不妨做為參考:

原則 1:工作真的只是一份工作 [A job is just a job]

不要期待工作與生活能兼顧,事實上也沒幾個人能將工作與生活成功的整合起來,工作並不是生活,我們工作是為了要過生活,或保有自己所喜歡的生活。

想想看,你一天或一個禮拜能有多少時間和家人相處,或和親朋好友去做一些你喜歡做的事,就可以知道要兼顧工作與生活是不可能的。工作只是工作,目的是為了賺錢。

原則 2 :不要害怕換工作 [don't afraid to change]

工作既是為了賺錢,只要可能賺更多錢,或做起來更愉快、更有滿足慼,何妨就換工作?

而且,以這樣的原則換工作,收入當然會越換越多,跳槽可能也會變得稀鬆平常。

只要每次工作時都全力以赴,有稱職的表現,對雇主和業界都能交代,應該隨時可以找到下一個工作的機會。

原則 3:一鳥在手勝過十鳥在林 ["a bird in hand is better than ten birds in woods"]

很多公司都聲稱他們有優渥的福利制度,包括退休金計劃。可是不斷有事實告訴我們,越來越多的人在屆滿退休之前就失去工作了。所以爭取眼前的福利可能更實際,比較值得期待,例如包括健康醫療保障在內的團體保險、托嬰照顧、親職休假、績效獎金的分發,增加加班費或年終獎金等等。

原則 4:謀生本事不厭其多 [Be skillfull]

新世紀的工作與收入可能會變得不穩定,產業的興衰或輪替也會變得快速無比,在同一家企業內辛苦一輩子可能會以失業收場。

所以橫向拓展各方面的技能,會比縱向的在企業的組織內向上攀爬追求位高權重還要實際。其實現在已有不少企業也『學會』了一些聰明的技巧,對授予好聽的高階職位並不吝惜,可以讓你擁有耀眼的頭銜,但對薪資增加並沒有多大幫助。

與其追求這種虛名,不如讓自己能具備十八般武藝可以多方面賺錢,隨時跳槽。

原則 5 :做好份內工作就回家去 [Done your job n go home]

再提醒你,工作只是工作,公司少了你一個人的工作,照樣可以運轉下去。

踏實的學習你的工作所該具備的技能,努力做好你的工作,但不要奢望你可以憑一己之力多為公司創造多少業績或產能。

不要因此耗掉你大量的私人時 間,讓自己從生活 中抽離出來。記住,做好自己份內的工作,然後回家去。

原則 6:遠離辦公室政治 [Away from Office politic]

你工作的目的是為賺取合理的收入,而不是追求虛名與權位,所以不用在心思在辦公室政治上。

當紅炸子雞可能因改朝換代而去職走路,被冰凍的失志衰老也可能鹹魚翻身。

與其耗費時間介入這些無實際意義的辦公室鬥爭,不如多花時間在自己的家庭。

Generation Y

In its January 22, 2008 edition, the Quebec City newspaper, Le Soleil, had a topic about generations by age group.

Generations are grouped as follows:

- The Silent generation, people born before 1945.

- The Baby Boomers, people born between 1945 and 1961.

- Generation X, people born between 1962 and 1976.

- Generation Y, people born between 1977 and 1989.

Why do we call the last one generation Y? I did not know, but caricaturist explains it eloquently below…

緣 . . .

從前有個書生 , 和未婚妻約好在某年某月某日結婚 .
到那一天 , 未婚妻卻嫁給了別人 . 書生受此打擊 , 一病不起 .
家人用盡各種辦法都無能為力 , 眼看奄奄一息 .
這時 , 路過一游方僧人 , 得知情況 , 決定點化一下他 .

僧人到他床前 , 從懷裡摸出一面鏡子叫書生看 .
書生看到茫茫大海 , 一名遇害的女子一絲不掛地躺在海灘上 .
路過一人 , 看一眼 , 搖搖頭 , 走了 ....
又路過一人 , 將衣服脫下 , 給女屍蓋上 , 走了 ....
再路過一人 , 過去 , 挖個坑 , 小心翼翼把屍體掩埋了 ............
疑惑間 , 畫面切換 . 書生看到自己的未婚妻 . 洞房花燭 ,
被她丈夫掀起蓋頭的瞬間 ...
書生不明所以 .

僧人解釋道 , 那具海灘上的女屍 , 就是你未婚妻的前世 .
你是第 2 個路過的人 , 曾給過他一件衣服 . 她今生和你相戀 , 只為還你一個情 .
但是她最終要報答一生一世的人 , 是最後那個把她掩埋的人 , 那人就是他現在的丈夫 .

書生大悟 , 唰地從床上做起 , 病癒 !
幾年前 , 初戀的愛人去世時 , 我痛不欲生 .
有朋友就找來這故事開導我 , 讓我釋懷不少 .
也許 , 她來到這個世界上 , 就是為了還我一片情吧 ..
她做完了她想做的事 , 就走了 .
以後 , 我都用這個故事開導身邊的朋友 .

緣這個東西 , 是最不可思議的 .
電影 ' 不見不散 ' 的主題歌這樣唱道 :
